Attendees, sponsors, and vendors from across the Fort Gordon Cyber District will convene for the CyberSC “Savannah River Cyber Summit”.  This year’s summit, presented in partnership with the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, will take place April 25-26 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in North Augusta, SC.

Attendees will learn more about regional plans to build a National Guard Cyber Innovation and Readiness Center adjacent to the planned Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) on the campus of the University of South Carolina-Aiken.

“The summit, in its first year, will act as a meeting point where researchers from academia, industry, research groups, companies and public authorities working in the field of cybersecurity and related areas can exchange knowledge and experience with the shared goal of strengthening research and building networks in the field.

“This will result in an exciting event filled with fascinating keynotes, thought provoking presentations of new research, and networking opportunities with experts and researchers in the field of cybersecurity. With a focus on supporting USARMY’s CyberCommand across the greater Ft. Gordon Cyber District, this event will leverage the talent found in research universities and national laboratories to highlight innovative and leading-edge discoveries said Tom Scott, CyberSC Executive Director.

The agenda include presentations from Army Cyber, National Security Agency, SC National Guard, University of South Carolina-Aiken, Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), FIRST Robotics District Winner “M’Aiken Magic” and a host of research presentation from academic institutions such as SC State University, Benedict College, USC-Columbia, Clemson, and the Citadel.

Companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Armis, Alyn, Training Concepts, Candor, and many more will be on-hand to demonstrate the latest technologies to support US Army programs and missions.

This event will be one of the most innovative cybersecurity technology events in the US, offering unique educational and collaborative opportunities for industry visionaries and rising leaders. We do this by offering comprehensive, cutting-edge educational sessions presented by leading industry speakers addressing a number of critical security issues and emerging concepts facing our Nation.

Representatives from Fort Gordon Program Offices will brief industry on updates, contracting opportunities, evolving requirements and specific challenges.

“Our community supports education and creating opportunity for area students and proceeds from the cyber summit fund our STEM scholarship program,” Scott proudly said. “The success of our STEM scholarship program is a great source of pride.”
