Thursday, June 29th, 2023
Christ Community Health Services Augusta has named Melinda McLeod as Chief Financial Officer.
“We’re excited to have Melinda join the Christ Community team,” said Chief Executive Officer Don Branum. “Her extensive financial expertise will help us as we continue to grow and serve more residents of the Augusta area.”
An Augusta native, McLeod has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University. She has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare field including more than four years of experience in healthcare finance and more than five years of public finance and accounting. She recently worked as an Assistant Controller at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.
Mcleod said, "I love finance and accounting because it tells a story. Through accounting, you can learn the history of an organization, where they are now and what has been accomplished. Additionally, finance and financial tools can provide insight into what the future might hold for that organization.”
“I look forward to helping advance the mission of Christ Community,” said McLeod.
Founded in 2007, Christ Community Health operates four primary care health centers in Augusta. They provide adult and pediatric medical, dental and behavioral health services to uninsured and under-insured families from a 10-country region around Augusta.
