Augusta Worship Center is hosting their fourth annual “Backpack Blessings” project on Saturday, July 22 at 10 AM.

“We’ve noticed a need for school supplies in the past few years,” said Bishop Jay Johnson of Augusta Worship Center. “We hope this event will help kids can return to school.”

This event will be held at Augusta Worship Center, located at 3480 Mike Padgett Hwy. The backpack giveaway will give kids the opportunity to receive important school supplies such as backpacks, pens, and paper before the new school year.

“We know children are suffering from a lack of supplies, and we want to help any way we can,” Bishop Johnson stated. 

Augusta Worship Center has a history of conducting community outreach programs with their non-profit, AWC Cares Program. Their efforts assist families through the Food Pantry, Academic Scholarships, outreach, and ministry.
