The Grand Finale The Southern Soul & Song Concert Series Concludes with Stellar Lineup
Wednesday, July 12th, 2023
For 21 years, the Morris Museum of Art has produced and presented the Budweiser True Music Southern Soul & Song concerts to great popular acclaim. According to Morris Museum director Kevin Grogan, “the principal objective of this effort was to expand the ways in which the Morris Museum addressed the region’s culture by adding uniquely Southern forms of musical expression to what it was already doing with the region’s visual arts. Then, of course, we also hoped to have some fun and to share the enjoyment of live performance by some of America’s greatest musicians with others. I like to think that, over the years, we’ve succeeded in achieving both objectives.” A spectacular lineup—mostly old favorites with one wonderful addition—has been assembled for this final season. It includes:

Del McCoury & Friends, including the Travelin’ McCourys, the Gibson Brothers, Kenny and Amanda Smith, and Dré Anders
