Leidos and AUSA to Donate $4,000 to Support Youth STEM and Manufacturing Camp at Augusta Technical College

Monday, July 17th, 2023

Leidos, a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, together with AUSA Greater Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter will be presenting a donation for $4,000 to Augusta Technical College to support the youth STEM and manufacturing camp this summer. The presentation will be on Wednesday, July 12, at 9 AM.

Leidos and AUSA’s donation will support an expansion of the camp to provide more hands-on learning and exposure to STEM and manufacturing concepts. In particular, children of military families are encouraged to attend.

Why it matters: There’s a shortage of youth pursuing education and careers in STEM and manufacturing. This camp aims to inspire kids to consider education and a career in these fields through interactive lessons and creative building and problem solving.

Open Spots: There are still spots available for the camp. Click here to sign up.

  • The camp is open to kids ages 12 through 14. The next session this summer will be held on July 18, 19, and 20. The camp runs from 8 AM to 4 PM daily. All participants will also be invited to attend Manufacturing Night at a GreenJackets game at SRP Park on August 25.
