AFCEA'S Technet Augusta Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

Destination Augusta is pleased to announce the return and 10thAnniversary of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association International’s (AFCEA) TechNet Augusta. For 10 years this cyber centric conference has been meeting in Augusta sharing the latest innovations and technologies in cyber security. The theme of TechNet Augusta 2023 is: "Enabling a Data-Centric Army.”
The symposium begins August 14 and will bring 5,000 attendees to the Augusta Convention Center at the Marriott. Hotel rooms and short-term rentals throughout Augusta will be utilized by visitors. The 4-day conference will generate an estimated $3,990,154 in visitor spending.
Many businesses have directly benefited from this conference and visitor spending. Over the course of their 10 years in Augusta, TechNet has generated $20.8 Million in estimated impact and had over 33,300 attendees. Spending is seen in area hotels, short-term rentals, transportation, local restaurants, and in many small businesses.
