As we kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month, Christian Center OasisVIP Multicultural Church, is proud to celebrate the distinguished honor of Pastor Angel Maestre as a recipient of one of The 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 2023. Pastor Angel Maestre has served the Augusta Hispanic community for the past 18 years through his congregation and Augusta’s first Hispanic radio station, OasisRadio 97.3 FM WMFJ. “I am very grateful to God, to my family and to my church for the support during all these years of serving God and his people. I believe that this is one more step to keep making a positive impact one day at a time in our city, state and region”, said Maestre.

Hosting for the sixth year, Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognized remarkable leaders of Georgia Latino community on September 15, 2023, at Truist Park in Marietta, GA. Guest speakers for the event included First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden and United States Senator Jon Ossoff. The event was an opportunity to celebrate hall of fame inductees, trailblazers and community leaders who have empowered communities and embraced their cultural heritage throughout the State of Georgia.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to cultivate the diverse and vibrant cultures that have shaped our country. It is a time to honor the generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have enriched our communities and advanced our country in countless ways.
