Visit Aiken Launches New Website
Monday, September 18th, 2023
A project by Visit Aiken (a division of the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department) that has been years in the making has publically launched. The Visit Aiken website exists to attract visitors and help them easily plan activities and accommodations in Aiken. While the content on the website continues this mission, the new layout, design and special features create an easy, hassle-free experience for users planning their adventures in Aiken.
The primary goal during the redesign process was to build a more user-friendly, valuable resource for visitors across all platforms and devices. The website specifically serves those interested in visiting the Aiken area and provides information on attractions, events and accommodations that appeal to tourists. “We are very excited and proud to offer a website that draws people in and is easy to use, because it creates an overall better experience for our visitors while they’re navigating their travel to Aiken.” said Casey Lozon, Tourism Supervisor.
The new website features a comprehensive calendar of events in Aiken that attract travelers from outside the area as well as blog posts ranging from a variety of categories relating to tourism in Aiken.
Tourism-related businesses and organizations interested in being featured on the new website should reach out to Casey Lozon, Tourism Supervisor, at [email protected]. Event organizers can submit event information directly through the website under the ‘Calendar’ tab for an opportunity to feature their event on the website free of charge. Guest blogs are also needed and can be written about a variety of tourism-related topics in Aiken. All submitted events and blogs must meet event and blog criteria.
The new website is made possible due to assistance from Visit Aiken’s marketing agency, Destination by Design, and the help of internal City staff. Visit Aiken also launched a digital marketing campaign with the goal of directing visitors to the new and improved website.
You’re invited to visit the new website and share the resource with all of Aiken’s welcomed visitors.
