During the month of September, Busby’s Heating & Air held their third-annual Coats For Kids drive to give the gift of warmth to area children in need this winter. The total number of coats collected this year is close to 700 making it the most successful drive yet!

Kathryn Braxton and her daughter, Sam, decided to approach Sam’s school – Savannah River Academy – about helping Busby’s Coats For Kids with a drive of their own. Sam’s classmate, Madison, in turn told her mother, Marlene Chancey of Chancey’s Towing about the drive. Together they collected over 600 new and gently used coats for area children!

Rick Busby’s goal, when starting the coat drive, was for it to grow each year. When seeing this year’s collection of coats, he was simply overwhelmed and so appreciative of everyone’s efforts.

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Busby’s Heating and Air Conditioning presented the coats collected during this year’s drive to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta.
