Augusta Commission Shuts Down Proposal for Biofuel Facility

A biofuel facility will have to find a new location to operate. The City of Augusta denied the company's request for construction and operation of a facility along Dixon Airline Road.
Nearly 30 objectors to the proposal were in attendance at Tuesday's commission meeting. Many are members of the historic Spirit Creek Baptist Church.
