Now through November 28, the American Heart Association, devoted to world of healthier lives for all, will receive a gift match for all donations made directly at heart.org/donate. Gifts will be double matched on November 1-15 and November 28. As a bonus, gifts will be triple matched from November 22-27. The gift matches are being offered in celebration of the national day of charitable giving, Giving Tuesday – November 28, held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

 “On this global day of giving, we are thankful for the anonymous donor who is supporting the mission critical work of the American Heart Association by funding match drive new solutions against the greatest health threat in our country,” said Joshua Trout, American Heart Association, Upstate, Board Chairman. “An opportunity to gift-match today doubles the impact, right here in our community, to fund innovative and science-lead approaches to address barriers to health that members of our community face.”

The funds raised through the Giving Tuesday match will be used to help fuel the mission of the American Heart Association to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives while supporting priority issues in the Upstate. CPR education, blood pressure screening and education, and food and nutrition security have been identified by the American Heart Association Upstate board for 2023 to propel work to support the organization’s 2024 Impact Goal.  

There is not a single solution to removing barriers to health care access and quality to improve health for all. The Association supports multifaceted research-based solutions that address whole-body health. Donations fund innovative research, programs and resources targeting health equity, food insecurity, health-forward policy, CPR instruction, in-school health education and improvement of patient care.
