North Augusta Businesses Keep it in the Family for Three and Four Generations

Stephen Posey has been with his family’s business, the well-established Posey Funeral Directors on Georgia Avenue, since the mid-1950s. He said he’d come home from school to work with his father, Dudley Posey, in the afternoons and on the weekends.
“Being with him, he was a master. He was a master at everything: funeral directing, embalming; a master with people,” Posey said. “And I find myself now thinking, what would he do? What would he say? If we have a difficult situation, how would he handle this?”
