Tuesday, August 11th, 2015

The Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau, the official liaison to the film industry for the City of Augusta and the official designee of the State of Georgia’s Camera Ready program is pleased to announce the arrival of a film crew shooting a small budget movie in Augusta.

The Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates  $40,432  will be generated in Direct Visitor Spending by this production.

Line producer Jude Walko with Blue Falcon Productions will be available to the media tonight at 6:00pm at Sacred Heart Cultural Center where they are shooting scenes for the upcoming movie Siren.

Siren is a horror movie being produced for the Chiller Network by Executive Producers David Bruckner, and Bloody Disgusting’s Brad Miska in conjunction with Collective Digital Studio and Blue Falcon Productions.  Gregg Bishop is directing with David Bruckner also serving as the 2nd Unit Director.

The crew consists of approximately 60 people and is shooting the majority of the movie in Savannah.  They will be in Augusta through August 12th and are operating a closed set, which means it is not open to the public.

As the Camera Ready Designee the ACVB was pleased to assist the production company in finding many resources such as police cars, uniforms, animals, caterers, Medic services, hotel rooms, special duty sheriff’s officers, road closure permits, and help with local utilities.

Siren is being shot in Augusta thanks to the film incentives being offered by the State of Georgia and specifically for the location of Sacred Heart.

Wednesday night at 7:00pm will be an additional opportunity for video, the scenes will be shot outside and will be action shots including police cars and actors as police officers.
