Shan Cooper, Vice President of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, will be the keynote speaker for the 2015 Women in Business Signature Event on October 1^st. The Signature Event is one of Augusta’s premier events for women, allowing them to come together for a night of networking, professional development and personal growth while being inspired by nationally renowned female business leaders. The evening dinner event will be held at the Augusta Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center and begins at 6:00 p.m.

Cooper holds an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is the recipient of multiple national awards. Among her many honors, are being named one of Georgia Trend magazine’s “Most Influential Georgians” in 2012, 2013 and 1014 and “Most Respected Business Leader” in 2015.  Says Sue Parr, President of the Chamber, “From thousands of Georgia business executives, being chosen in any given year by Georgia Trend as the most respected business leader is a significant honor.  We cannot wait to welcome her to Augusta in recognition of her achievements on October 1^st”.
