The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce announced its “2015 Entrepreneur of the Year” today at its December Member Economic Luncheon. The recipient is Barry Bryant, owner and president of Barney’s Pharmacy, a full-service pharmacy that has been serving Augusta and the CSRA region for over 30 years.

Bryant is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy and has been responsible for the growth of Barney's Pharmacy since 1984. What began as a single location is now an eight-store network of pharmacies. Barry has won numerous awards for his innovative approach to customer service in pharmacy including the 2014 NCPA Ownership Award, 2014 Ken Wurster Community Leadership Award, the 2014 Pharmacy Times Entrepreneur of the Year – and now the 2015 Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year. He is a leader in his industry as a businessman and mentor. Mr. Bryant and Barney’s Pharmacy also offer two highly competitive community pharmacy residencies for those who share his passion for pharmacy and hope to be business owners themselves.

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is proud to award Barry Bryant the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year award in recognition of the outstanding success, innovative spirit and service that he provides to the community. As recipient of the award, Bryant receives a recognition package which includes a one-year appointment to the Chamber’s Board of Directors and a nomination for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award.
