In 2006, the Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS started the President’s Youth Scholarship Award Program to recognize area high school seniors for their accomplishments and award scholarships to alleviate expenses of their college education. Since its inception, GAAR has awarded $120,000 to local students through 2019.  The committee selects recipients based on academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, honors, and leadership positions held throughout their high school years. Outstanding seniors will be recognized from public or private high schools in Columbia, Richmond, Burke, Lincoln, and McDuffie Counties in Georgia and North Augusta and Fox Creek High Schools in South Carolina.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is Friday, March 13, 2020. Scholarship applications are available through high school guidance counselor offices. There will be 10 scholarship recipients. Students will receive a $1,000 scholarship and will be recognized at an Association luncheon on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
