Leadership Columbia County, Class of 2024 (LCC 24) announces a community event focused on giving back and spring cleaning. In collaboration with Goodwill of Middle Georgia, the class will host a Spring Cleaning Donation Drive accepting clothing, household goods, furniture, and more. 

When you donate to Goodwill, you are supporting your local community by helping Augusta residents who are struggling to find employment or job training resources.  Revenue generated through the sale of used goods in Goodwill’s retail stores goes directly to creating job opportunities for people who need them most, resulting in communities that work better for everyone.

"We are excited to collaborate with Goodwill of Middle Georgia for this donation drive," said Ehrin Fairey, the event's organizer and a Leadership Columbia County Class of 2024 member. "This event will help Goodwill provide critical goods and services to our community while supporting local nonprofits in their efforts to assist our neighbors in need."

Goodwill has committed to donating $250 in retail store vouchers for each donation bin filled.  The LCCC 24 will then distribute these vouchers to two selected partner charities: Hope House and the Burn Foundation of America. Vouchers will be given to individuals or families selected by these charities and can be redeemed for items at any Goodwill store in the CSRA. By distributing these vouchers, Hope House and the Burn Foundation of America can provide support to community members in need.
