Augusta Technical College Announces 2024-2026 Incoming College Board of Directors' Chair and Vice Chair

Augusta Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nic Wood as the 2024 incoming Chair of the College’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Woods will serve as the chair of the board of directors effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026. Mr. Wood is responsible for the Piedmont McDuffie Hospital Campus, the Allied Health Programs for Piedmont Augusta Hub, and the (recent) reopening of the Piedmont Summerville Hospital. He manages overall operations, financial health and strategic planning. In the past two years, Wood led the McDuffie Hospital through the transition from University Healthcare to Piedmont Healthcare, which involved constant utilization of leadership and change management skills. Even during the transition, his team helped to grow revenue by 8%, lowered employee turnover by 6% all while maintaining quality care to patients

Early in his career he was an operations manager for Williams Sewer and Drain, Inc. Mr. Wood earned both his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Georgia Southern University.

He’s active in his community and has affiliations with the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce, Thomson-McDuffie Archway Executive Committee, Thomson Rotary, Leadership McDuffie Class of 2022, and Stevens Creek Church where he serves on the Elder Board. 

Mr. Jon Dollan has been selected vice chair elect for 2024-2026. Mr. Dollan is the President, Southeast Cyber Industry Association, in Evans, Georgia. He previously served s the Cyber Director for the Savannah River National Laboratory in Aiken, South Carolina. Mr. Dollan has over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership and management, strategic planning, and resource management.
