Surendra Gupta Installed as 2024-2025 President of Rotary Club of Augusta

The Rotary Club of Augusta, Georgia, proudly announces the installation of Surendra Gupta as its president for the 2024-2025 term. Gupta was officially installed on June 24 by outgoing president Bill Keogh. His term will run from July 1, 2024, through June 31, 2025.

Surenda brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. With 43 years of service at Bechtel, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University, California. Surenda is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. His extensive volunteer work includes serving as Division Governor for Toastmasters International and conducting management audits for the University of Georgia Outreach Program.

For the past 25 years, Surenda has been an active volunteer, holding various leadership positions including:

  • American Red Cross: Board of Directors member

  • Springlakes Homeowners Association: Past President, overseeing an organization of 650 homes

  • AARP Tax Aide Foundation: Local Coordinator for the South Augusta location since 2018

  • Toastmasters International: Distinguished Toastmaster and Pathways Ambassador

  • Project Management Institute (PMI): VP-Education and Programs for 12 years, and graduate of the Leadership Institute of PMI

  • National Management Association: Served as BOD, Chairman, President, and Secretary for 9 years

  • Easter Seals: Board of Directors member for 3 years

  • Customer Value Creation International (CVCI): Board of Directors member for 5 years

Surenda is eager to lead the Rotary Club of Augusta and continue its tradition of service to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) community.
