  • Augusta University To Host Augusta Half Marathon For Next Three Years

    Following a successful event in 2025, Augusta University has agreed to serve as the host site and as a sponsor of the Augusta Half Marathon/10K/5K for the next three years, including the 2026 event that will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28.

    To celebrate National 211 Day, United Way of the CSRA and Piedmont Augusta are teaming up to host a FREE Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, February 11th. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Piedmont Hospital Cafeteria, located at 1350 Walton Way.

With $4.3 million included in this latest allotment, the total investment committed to rural site development projects since the program’s launch in FY 2025 is now up to $21 million.

    The Georgia Historical Society's Georgia History Festival continues in February with a weekend of educational events for students and families in recognition of the founding of Georgia on February 12th, 1733. Taking place on Saturday, February 7th, and Sunday, February 8th, the festivities begin with the Colonial Faire & Muster at Wormsloe State Historic Site. The weekend wraps up on February 8 with the statewide tradition of Super Museum Sunday.
