Candidate Forum to Bring Augusta Community and Local Candidates Together

With the upcoming mayoral election, the Greater Augusta Black Chamber of Commerce and the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce are once again partnering to host a joint Candidate Forum. The event will take place April 28 and 29, 2026, at Augusta Technical College’s Jack B. Patrick Information Technology Center Auditorium.
 
Open to the public, the forum will feature candidates running for Augusta Commission and Mayor. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates as they share their perspectives and engage in discussion around key issues impacting the Augusta community. The event is designed to provide an informed, nonpartisan environment that encourages civic engagement and voter awareness.
 
The forum schedule is as follows: on April 28, District 4 will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by District 2 at 7:00 PM. On April 29, District 8 will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by District 10 at 5:00 PM, and the mayoral forum at 6:00 PM. Invitations to the forum were extended to all qualified candidates for each seat.
