The Georgia Chamber’s Georgia Digital Infrastructure Alliance (GDIA) announced the launch of a six-figure statewide advertising campaign aimed at educating Georgians about the benefits that responsible data center development can bring to communities across the state.

The campaign, funded through the Digital Infrastructure Alliance’s 501(c)(4) advocacy arm, Building a Better Georgia, will begin Monday and run across connected television and digital platforms, highlighting benefits including increased local tax revenue, lower property taxes, cutting-edge jobs, greater economic opportunity and more reliable infrastructure.

Chris Clark, President & CEO, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, said:
“We’re going on offense to educate Georgians about what responsible digital infrastructure can mean for our state and our communities. While data centers may not be the perfect fit for every community, where they make sense, they can generate significant new revenue, help lower property taxes, create cutting-edge jobs, strengthen our infrastructure, and generate opportunities for the next generation. With the right guardrails in place, we believe there is a tremendous opportunity to get this right, and we’re going to be telling that story in earnest over the coming months.”

Recent statewide polling underscores that opportunity. With thoughtful accountability requirements in place, 52% of likely Georgia voters said they would support data centers near their community. When voters learn more about the potential community benefits, support rises to 61%.

The campaign kicks off Monday with “The Next Chapter,” the first phase of a sustained effort to educate Georgians about the role responsible digital infrastructure can play in Georgia’s continued growth.
