PC Techware, an Augusta-based cybersecurity and managed IT services provider, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week.

Since its founding in early 2001, the company has grown into a trusted technology partner for small and mid-sized businesses, law firms, accounting firms, construction and manufacturing companies across the region, protecting the jobs of thousands of local workers and the data that keeps their businesses running.

“Technology has changed dramatically over the last 25 years, but what matters most to us hasn’t changed at all: the relationships we have with our clients and our team,” said Russell Wyatt, CEO and owner of PC Techware. “We’re grateful to every business that has trusted us, and to this community for allowing us to do work we love. Being in a position to give back has always been the goal.”

Wyatt launched PC Techware in early 2001 serving residential customers. Word of his work spread quickly, and many of those customers soon asked him to set up and manage the networks at their offices as well. That demand steadily shifted the company’s focus to businesses. Today, PC Techware serves commercial clients exclusively and has become the IT provider of choice for businesses throughout the CSRA.

PC Techware offers cybersecurity, managed IT services, co-managed IT, asset management, and infrastructure solutions, all delivered by an in-house team rather than outsourced support.

Led by Wyatt and Chief Operating Officer Matthew Jay, the company has earned significant recognition in recent years, including the North Augusta Chamber’s 2024 Small Business of the Year, a 2025 Cytracom Partner Award, and the Augusta Metro Chamber’s 2026 Entrepreneur of the Year honor for Wyatt. Team member Jennifer Pendley was also named the Augusta Metro Chamber’s 2025 Ambassador of the Year.

PC Techware has also become a go-to local voice on technology issues. Over the past two years, the company has been featured twice on WJBF’s The Means Report with Brad Means, first to discuss its efforts helping local businesses recover after Hurricane Helene, and again to share insight into the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and what it means for businesses.

Beyond its client work, PC Techware is active in the local community, supporting organizations including the American Red Cross, the Augusta Exchange Club, Aquinas High School, and St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School, as well as the Augusta Metro and North Augusta Chambers of Commerce.

To celebrate the milestone, PC Techware will host a 25th anniversary celebration on Friday, September 25, at Augusta Country Club, bringing together clients, partners, and friends who have been part of the company’s journey.
