Southern Wesleyan University’s North Augusta education center is partnering with Golden Harvest Food Bank of Augusta to fight hunger among the area’s needy residents.

According to Jason Norton, Regional Director of Southern Wesleyan’s North Augusta education center, the university’s mission is to “give back” to the community it serves. Southern Wesleyan will waive application fees for its upcoming degree programs to those who bring a donation between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31 to the North Augusta learning center at 802 East Martintown Rd.

“We are grateful to partner with The Golden Harvest Food Bank here in Augusta,” Norton said. “Through this partnership, we are able to give back to those less fortunate in our area.”

Donations of non-perishable, commercially prepared food are needed, especially canned fruits, canned meats and canned vegetables (no glass please).
