TAG Greater Augusta Hosts Cyber Security Conference

The Technology Association of Georgia’s Augusta Chapter together with the TAG Infrastructure Society announce a special one-day conference entitled U.S. Army, Cyber Security and Business Against a Common Foe, on Wednesday, November 5th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC) main ballroom at Georgia Regents University in Augusta. The all-day event features panel discussions with top-ranked officials of the Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) Headquarters at Fort Gordon along with key representatives from Georgia’s technology sector.

The conference will address a number of topical subjects including:

· What is Cyber Security and Why Should Business Care?

· What is the Mission of Army Cyber Security?

· What Impact will the Cyber Security Command relocation to Augusta have on business and the State?

· What is the Mission of Army Cyber Security?

Expert panelists for the conference will include:

· Thom E. Tuckey, Col., U.S. Army (Retired) - Executive Director of the Central Savannah River Area Alliance for Fort Gordon in Augusta

· Joanne Sexton, GRU faculty member, formerly the first Commanding Officer of what is known today as Navy Information Operations Command Georgia – GRU

· Mark Baggett - owner of Indepth Defense, an independent consulting firm that offers incident response and penetration testing services

· Doug Burks- Co-founder of the annual Cyber Security Conference, BSidesAugusta and creator of the network security monitoring platform Security Onion

· Brian Ozden - Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation, coordinator of the Augusta Resident Agency's Cyber Crime and Child Exploitation Task Force and Investigator, Domestic Terrorism and felonies at the Fort Gordon military installation
