Family YMCA to Participate in Summer Food Service Program

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is participating in the Summer Food Service Program of South Carolina. Snacks and meals will be provided to all children 18 years old and younger, regardless of membership, at some of the various locations of the Y’s summer camps.
“We’re dedicated to ensuring our youth can overcome the hunger gap during the summer months, as many children are unsure of where their next meal will come from,” says Danny McConnell, President/CEO of the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta. “We want to help our youth grow into healthy adults.”
This program will kick off Monday, June 29th and will end August 5th. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals/Snacks will be provided at all sites listed below, showing the specified start and end times for meals/snacks.
