The Goodwill Aiken retail training store, operated by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, has been named Medium Employer of the Year by the Columbia Mayor's Committee on Employment for People with Disabilities for work with the South Carolina Commission for the Blind. Goodwill's Aiken retail training store, at 1015 Pine Log Road, employs visually impaired workers and provides reading-enhancement equipment for use by employees, trainees and job-seekers. This is the second year in a row the Goodwill Aiken campus has received such an award, having last year been named Employer of the Year by the South Carolina Commission for the Blind.
