Georgia Military College Augusta, a liberal arts junior college, recently hosted a successful blood drive. With the help of the campus Community Involvement Club, the drive had a high participation rate. At this particular event, over 30 pints of blood were donated.

On Thursday, October 22nd from 11 am – 6 pm the blood mobile visited the Augusta campus. This blood mobile is operated by the Shepeard Community Blood Center and all donations are handled by the organization. The organization advertises that one donation can help save three local lives, which means the campus was responsible for saving over 90 local lives.

This is a recurring event. The Community Involvement Club hosts regular drives and hopes to see an even higher participation rate in the future.
