North Augusta Lions Announce 2015 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal

North Augusta Evening Lions Club is excited to announce Chief John C. Thomas as Grand Marshal for the annual North Augusta Lions Christmas Parade.

Chief Thomas, North Augusta’s Director of Public Safety, is a 32 year veteran of Law Enforcement and Public Safety.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Limestone College and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.   Chief Thomas is a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta, is married to Caroline and has two children, Jessica and Adam.

The Christmas Parade will take place at 2:00pm Sunday, December 13, 2015 in downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue.  This year’s parade theme, “Hark the Herald Angels” celebrates the many angels among us (public safety, military, healthcare workers, caregivers and more) who watch over us each and every day.
Entries representing 1,000 people, young and old will take part, to include Bands, Youth Groups, Equestrians, Car Clubs, Service Organizations, Politicians, Floats, Drill Teams, and more.  It is estimated that 4,000 spectators view the parade from Georgia Avenue.
