Augusta Regional Airport is excited to be participating in National Job Shadowing Day by partnering with Richmond County School System!

February 2nd is not just Groundhog Day, but National Job Shadow Day, in which students from around the nation shadow engineers, firefighters, government employees, and many more.

AGS is hosting two students from Cross Creek High School and two students from A.R. Johnson Middle School. Each student partnered with an employee from the Airports’ Operations Department, General Aviation Department, and Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Department.

The selected students not only have the opportunity to learn how each field is important to AGS, but how exciting the Aviation Industry is as a whole.

“As part of our continued efforts to partner with the Richmond County School System, we are thrilled to be able to provide local students the opportunity to learn more about the Aviation Industry,” said Gary LeTellier, AGS’s Interim Executive Director. “We hope this experience will open their eyes to a field and spark an interest in Aviation.”
