Augusta South YMCA 10-Year Anniversary

The Augusta South Family YMCA, one of the branches of the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary during the weekend of February 5th.  Festivities for this special anniversary include a 10-year member reception on Friday night and a Family Fun Day on Saturday. Mayor Hardie Davis, Jr. will give opening remarks on Saturday at 10 am.

“As our Armed Services YMCA branch, the Augusta South YMCA has been a constant presence in our continually growing military community at Fort Gordon”, says Danny McConnell, President/CEO for the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta. “We’re looking forward to seeing what’s to come for this branch in the next 10 years.”

Friday night’s activities include a special Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting and a light reception for 10-year members with the Augusta South branch. Saturday’s Family Fun Day will include free food, tours of the facility, fitness demonstrations and kids activities from 10 am until 2 pm.
