The Salvation Army Celebrates Corporate Philanthropy Day

On Giving Tuesday, February 23, 2016 the corporate giving community observes Corporate Philanthropy Day to raises awareness about the important role of the private sector in society, to build awareness of corporate-community partnerships and to inspire further involvement among businesses.

In honor of Corporate Philanthropy Day, The Salvation Army of Greater Augusta will launch our Corporate Philanthropy Partnership 2016 program offering financial sponsorships and volunteer opportunities to area businesses.

The Corporate Philanthropy Partnership offers a variety of volunteer and sponsorship possibilities in The Salvation Army to match the corporate vision and visible community commitment of companies. The proposal is presented so that corporations may select those areas which best reflects there philanthropic outlook. It is also The Salvation Army 125th Anniversary in Augusta.

Designed to fit businesses of any size, it creates new relationships or expands existing relationships into innovative volunteer and financial commitments, as well as in-kind support. Busy CEO’s love the once-a-year, one-stop-shopping of this proposal.

Along with Corporate Philanthropy Day, The Salvation Army announces this year’s speaker or our Annual Doing The Most Good event, General André Cox, the international leader of the 1.5 million strong world-wide church of The Salvation Army will be coming to the Kroc Center on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 6:00pm. Corporate Sponsorships are now available.

Business management expert Peter Drucker described The Salvation Army as being "by far the most effective organization in the U.S., nonprofit or for-profit” and Drucker adds "No one even comes close to it with respect to clarity of mission, ability to innovate, measurable results, dedication, and putting money to maximum use."
