The winners of the 2016 Porter Fleming Literary Competition have been announced by the Morris Museum of Art.

1st Place: Chris Garcia, Martinez, GA, The Well
2nd Place: Walter Lacher, Aiken, SC, Gene
3rd Place: Courtney Santo, Memphis, TN, The Bridge of the Gods
Judge: Cecelia Tichi, author, editor, and the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of English at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN
 
Non-Fiction

1st Place: Beth Ann Fennelly, Oxford, MS, Y’all’s Problem
2nd Place: Evan Guilford-Blake, Stone Mountain, GA, Solace
3rd Place: Richard L. Knowles, Harkers Island, NC, Long, Cold Roads  
Judge: Barry Yeoman, award-winning journalist, teacher, and radio documentarian
 
Plays

1st Place:  Chris LaMantia, Grovetown, GA, The Fourth Wall
