Tuesday, April 26th, 2016

In celebration of the annual Goodwill Week, May 2-6, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA will hold a series of spring job fairs throughout its 35-county service area, including one in Aiken. The job fairs will be preceded by boot camps designed to help job seekers in their search for employment, and all of the opportunities are provided free of charge as part of Goodwill’s mission of offering career advancement and education programs.

The Aiken Spring Job Fair will be held 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Aiken Goodwill Job Connection, 1015 Pine Log Road, featuring area companies and governments offering employment opportunities, particularly focusing on those hiring for positions in customer service, sales, and retail-oriented positions. The boot camp preceding the job fair will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Aiken Job Connection, and will be led by Job Connection staffers and human resources professionals affiliated with employers participating in the job fair.

The boot camp is open to anyone seeking assistance in preparing for job opportunities, and participants will receive preferred entry to the job fair. Goodwill’s boot camp program recently was designated Volunteer Program of the Year by Goodwill International.

Employers interested in participating in the job fair can contact Jennifer Hart, Goodwill Aiken Community Director, at [email protected], or at (803) 649-7694.
