The Augusta Biker Coalition Biker Coalition  holds their BEAT THE HEAT ride for The Salvation Army on Saturday May 21st brining electric fans that will be used to help individuals and families in need.

Area bikers will meet up at the Walmart in Grovetown, 5010 Steiner Way, starting at 11:00AM with KSU at noon departing for The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope, 1384 Greene St, Augusta.

Each rider will have one box fan to donate to The Salvation Army to help those in need of relief this summer. The bikers should arrive at the Center of Hope around 12:30pm.

“No one enjoys suffering through oppressing Augusta summers,” said Major Jack Butler, The Salvation Army Area Commander, “many people suffer without the relief of air conditioning.”

The event is open to the public. You can help provide relief from the heat this summer, for more information on donating to The Salvation Army, contact the Center of Hope at 706.826.7933 or visit our website at www.salvationarmyarmy.org.
