The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from The Widows Home of Augusta, Inc. in support of Augusta Technical College’s Special Populations Lending Library.
The Special Populations Lending Library assists female students who are single parents, displaced homemakers, nontraditional career-seekers, or those with limited English proficiency who have been vetted through a financial aid process to determine their eligibility to borrow a textbook for the semester as available.
“The Widows Home of Augusta has an appreciation for the role Augusta Tech plays in educating women and keeping them on an educational pathway to graduation. The support provided by the Widows Home of Augusta complements the services the College provides for all students to be successful and we are grateful for their assistance,” stated Beverly Peltier, Director of Institutional Advancement.
