Local Allstate agency owner Hap Greenway received the Allstate Agency Helping Hands Grant for his commitment to helping others and community service. Because of Greenway’s outstanding volunteerism, The Allstate Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta, where he volunteers.
Allstate, its agents, and employees have a proud history of putting their good hands to work in supporting South Carolina communities, promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others. Now in its 64th year, The Allstate Foundation has given more than $400 million in financial contributions to communities around the country and volunteered more than 250,000 hours. So far this year, the Foundation has awarded more than $170,000 in grants to local South Carolina organizations where agency owners volunteer.
“The Allstate Agency Helping Hands Grant celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to communities where we live, work and do business.” said Bob Holden, Field Senior Vice President for Allstate’s Southeast region. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, Hap makes our hometown a better place.”
The Allstate Foundation awards more than $2 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated Allstate agency owners who give back to their communities through outstanding volunteerism. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate agency owners must volunteer, mentor, or lead a nonprofit of their choice.
