Miracle League Night at Lake Olmstead Stadium

The Augusta GreenJackets Single “A” affiliate of the San Francisco Giants have partnered together with the Family Y Miracle League Baseball League for a special game on Saturday, June 18th.
 
The GreenJackets will open gates at 4:30pm prior to Saturday night’s Augusta GreenJackets and Lexington Legends 6:05pm contest.  The Miracle League will take the field beginning at approximately 4:50pm. Two teams from the Miracle League will play a half an hour game with the GreenJackets players on hand to support and assist players during the game.
 
“This has become an annual tradition at Lake Olmstead Stadium and we are so excited to continue to partner with the Family Y and the Miracle League this season,“ stated Tom Denlinger General Manager.  “They are such a great organization and we encourage the CSRA to come out early and cheer on the Miracle League as they take the field on this memorable night.”
 
Fans are invited to come early and cheer on the GreenJackets and the Miracle League for this special event.  During the Miracle League game fans are encouraged to keep your eyes and your ears tuned into game as there will be live on-field interviews conducted with the Miracle League Players. Once the game has concluded there will be a simultaneous ceremonial first pitch thrown by the Miracle League players to players of the Augusta GreenJackets.
 
As apart of Saturday night’s festivities at the Lake Olmstead Stadium, the GreenJackets and Wachs Fabrication Group will host a post-game Fireworks Extravaganza!  Every Saturday is American Family Insurance Family Saturday featuring face painting on the concourse.  It’s Olympic Night with special games and contests all night long.  Former Atlanta Brave John Rocker will make his annual appearance to the Lake on this evening.  Start your day off with the Inaugural Disc Golf Tournament around Lake Olmstead Stadium, registration is only $25, learn more at www.greenjacketsbasball.com.  Stay post-game for a spectacular fireworks extravaganza and kids can run the bases!
