Constructing a 3D printer? Building a fighting robot? Experimenting with awe-inducing chemical reactions?
 
That’s business as usual at theClubhou.se’s not so usual summer day camps. Throughout June and July, kids of all ages will have an opportunity to participate in camp experiences not offered anywhere else in the Augusta area:
 
3D­-Printer Construction Camp: Student/teacher pairs from local schools are encouraged to attend camp together to build a 3D­-Printer. Individual campers are also welcome. They will construct a 3D­-printer to take back to their school or home. Supervised lunch break, noon­-1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.

Ages 11+. June 6­-10, 9 a.m. ­- 4 p.m. $300/person, $250/kit (theClubhou.se members receive 10% discount)
 
Sumo Robot League Camp:  Campers will assemble and program a Sumo Robot kit! Campers will be soldering and coding a fighting robot to take home at the end of the week. Supervised lunch break, noon­-1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.

Ages 11+. June 13­-17 & July 11­-15, 9 a.m. ­ 4 p.m. $300/person, $100/kit (theClubhou.se members receive 10% discount)
 
App Development for Sumo Robot League: Campers will develop an Android­ based mobile app to remotely control a Sumo Robot using bluetooth. Take your robot to the next level! Supervised lunch break, noon­-1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.

Ages 11+. June 20­-24 & July 18­22, 9 a.m. ­ 4 p.m. $300/person, $20/kit, *must already have a Sumo Robot (theClubhou.se members receive 10% discount)
 
ideaventions Junior Robotics Atlantis presented by Spark Academy: Join us on an underwater quest to find the lost city of Atlantis! We are part of a deep sea salvage crew searching for the lost city so that we may uncover its mysteries. We must defeat underwater guardians to retrieve three keys which open the portal to Atlantis. Along the way we must also design tools for our research vehicle. We will use robotic sensors, motors, the WeDo visual programming environment, and LEGOs to solve these problems using creative thinking.

Ages: Rising 1st – 4th graders, June 27 – July 1, 9a.m. – 12p.m. / July 11-15, 1p.m. – 4p.m. $165/person (theClubhou.se members receive 10% discount)
 
MAKE Camp- Images: Campers will use digital photography, a greenscreen, and Adobe Photoshop to create digital collages. They will also use Adobe Illustrator to create a unique image to screenprint on a series of t­shirts. 3D­ CAD and 3D­printing will be used to construct stamps for paper and fabric applications. Supervised lunch break, noon­-1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.

ideaventions Oceanography presented by Spark Academy: Dive into the lab and explore environmental science with this hands-on experience focused on oceanography.  Scientists will explore the oceans, including the features and properties of the ocean, the physical environment, chemistry, and marine life. We’ll explore the composition of ocean water, observe and learn about plankton, study features of the ocean floor, learn how oceans move (currents, tides) and how oceans affect weather and climate.

ideaventions Chemical Reactions presented by Spark Academy: Don your lab coats and grab a beaker. Campers are the chemists in this exploration of substances changing their chemical identities. We spend the week experimenting with a range of different chemical reactions. From simple kitchen chemistry, such as sugar crystals, to awe-inducing reactions, like elephant toothpaste. Campers leave with an understanding of how chemistry and change make up the world around us.

Sequential Art Camp: Campers will learn about a variety of art materials and techniques as they develop skills in character design and visual storytelling. This camp will be presented by Perfect Storm Art Enrichment. Supervised lunch break, noon­-1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.
