Barberitos Southwestern Grille Donates Portion of Opening Week Proceeds to Local Nonprofit Organizations

Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina in Evans will present checks to both the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Augusta Warrior Project on Tuesday, September 20. The Evans Barberitos location opened last month and 10 percent of all sales from August 10 through August 15 are being used to benefit two local charities, the Golden Harvest Food Bank of Augusta and the Augusta Warrior Project.
 
The Golden Harvest Food Bank is a community charity committed to providing quality food and grocery products to those in need. The Augusta Warrior Project works to prevent or mitigate life crisis by holistically addressing issues early and collectively through collaborative relationships with local, state, and national organizations to ensure the well deserved support for local Warriors and their families.
 
The local Barberitos store is owned and operated by Brett McCullough, Lanier Scruggs and Cissy Hutchinson, who all believe in Barberitos’ mission of ‘Bigger Than A Burrito.’ ‘Bigger Than a Burrito’ represents Barberitos’ commitment to the community through various partnerships and giveback initiatives.
 
Committed to serving “farm fresh” food, Barberitos serves all natural vegetables delivered to stores and hand cut daily. The menu offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options along with chicken and steak chargrilled to perfection for protein lovers. Barberitos’ salsas,guacamole, hot sauces, meat marinades and salad dressings are made from scratch daily.
