North Augusta Chamber Power Lunch September 21st

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Friday, September 9th, 2016

In 2015 women accounted for 47% of the total U.S. workforce and women are projected to account for 51% of the increase in the total workforce growth between 2008-2018. However, while over 50% of professional jobs are held by women, they are substantially underrepresented in leadership roles.  With women making such a significant impact on our country’s economy, shouldn’t we empower them as much as possible?

Join us as we present EMPOWERED: BECOMING A WOMAN OF INFLUENCE, as part of our Power Lunch Series. The event will take place September 21st, 11:30 am at the Palmetto Terrace in North Augusta. Highlighting the position of women as strong and powerful employees, consumers and leaders in the workforce, we will feature a panel of four influential local business leaders from different industries and professions. Our panel will discuss how they make a difference in their communities, conquer the workplace and maintain a positive balanced lifestyle. Panelists include: Pat Carpenter, North August City Council/NAES Counselor; Dr. Christine Crawford, owner-operator McDonald’s Restaurants; Carol Johnson, President/CEO - Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and Dr. Sandra Jordan, Chancellor – USC Aiken.

Pre-registration is required for this event. To register please visit NorthAugustaChamber.org or call 803.279.2323
