Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System Announces Star Wars Reads Day Oct. 8th
Thursday, October 6th, 2016
On October 8, 2016, from 11 am to 3:30 pm, the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System will celebrate the joy of Star Wars and the love of reading during its annual Star Wars Reads Day celebration at the system’s Headquarters Library branch (823 Telfair St., Augusta).
Highlights include an appearance by Julie Dolan, the voice of Princess Leia from the animated Star Wars Rebels series, who will give a live interview about her work on the show and sign autographs, a special children’s storytime and book giveaway, and trivia and costume contests. There will also be an artists’ market and a silent auction of Star Wars inspired art.
“Every year, Star Wars Reads Day only gets bigger and better, and this year is no exception. The Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System is excited for its best Star Wars Reads Day program to date! There truly is something in this program for the kid and adult Star Wars fan alike,” says Corey Rogers, Community Volunteer Manager for the annual Star Wars Reads Day event.
