Augusta Showers The Salvation Army’s Shelter With Towels
Thursday, October 6th, 2016
We asked and Augusta answered with more than 600 towels. Last month The Salvation Army sent out a notice that our homeless shelter was in desperate need of bath towels for our Men’s Shelter and Women & Children’s Shelter. The response from the public was wonderfully overwhelming as we have received over 600 towels, more than enough to meet our current need.
“We are so grateful that when people throughout the greater Augusta area see a need, they step up,” said Area Commander Captain Philip Canning. “Our greatest need right now is monetary donations and frozen turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless.” Donations go to The Salvation Army, 1384 Greene St, Augusta, GA 30901 or on our website www.SalvationArmyAugusta.org.
