Junior League of Augusta Announces Holiday Market

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Monday, October 10th, 2016

The Junior League of Augusta, Georgia will be hosting its 6th annual Holiday Market November 11, 2016 through November 13, 2016.  This year’s event will be held at the Augusta Convention Center at the Marriott in Downtown Augusta and features over 80 vendors to shop from. Holiday Market hours are as follows: Friday, November 11th from 12pm-7pm, Saturday, November 12h from 10am-6pm and Sunday, November 13th from 11am-4pm.  General admission tickets are $15 and are good for all three days (children 12 and under receive free admission); daily tickets are $10 and good for a single admission.

Holiday Market shoppers may also bring their children for photos with Santa in the Santa Room. Tickets are $35 and include two single-day adult admissions and a CD of photos.

This year’s event includes a community stage featuring entertainment provided by local schools, dance groups and churches.

New in 2016 is the addition of mini special events that will occur throughout general admission hours, including a silhouette artist, a holiday glam make-up tutorial, visits from characters from Frozen, holiday cookie decorating, and more!

Additionally, the Junior League of Augusta will be supporting Fort Gordon’s Christmas House where we will provide a portion of the proceeds raised at Holiday Market, including a toy drive, to over 200 area military families. Christmas House, celebrating 50 years, functions completely on donations and each year provides toys and assistance with a traditional holiday meal for military families unable to provide their own.

Holiday Market, along with our other fundraisers, makes it possible for the Junior League of Augusta to support and promote their focus of the generational poverty of women and children throughout the Central Savannah River Area; such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta, Kids in the Kitchen, ACE Awards (Award for Classroom Enrichment), our Community Enabling Grants, and the Field Trip Fund.

There are a few options to purchase tickets: visit our website at www.jlaugusta.org, email [email protected], or tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
