Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Friday, November 11th, 2016

The Columbia County Chamber is celebrating local small businesses by hosting a Small Business Week November 14-18. Small Business Week is an early celebration of American Express Shop Small Saturday on November 26.  We hope that you will join us in recognition and support of the community in the greater Augusta area by shopping small.

Small Business Week provides an opportunity to honor local entrepreneurs and provide professional development opportunities for their team.  On Monday, November 14, we will have a kick-off event from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at The Shoppes at Camelot (4446 Washington Road, Evans). Come grab your shop small tote bag filled with coupons to your favorite small businesses. Chamber Before Hours occurs on Tuesday from 7:45 – 9:00 AM featuring “How to Respond to Workplace Violence”. On Wednesday, small businesses can learn more about “Performance Under Pressure” from 8:00-9:00 AM. Thursday features the Chamber’s quarterly series, Networking for Leads. We wrap things up on Friday with a social media contest.

The Columbia County Chamber encourages you to mark your calendars and plan to shop small in support of local businesses November 14-18 leading up to Shop Small Saturday.  Get involved on social media by posting your best selfie with the small business you are supporting.  Be sure to check-in at the business, tag the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and #colctychambershopsmall (@ColumbiaCountyChamber on Facebook).
