Augusta Metro Chamber Holiday Open House to Feature Member Town Hall “Downtown 2020” December 12th

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a Holiday Open House on Monday, December 12 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the Chamber office. The event will feature a Member Town Hall focusing on “Downtown 2020: How the Heart of the Region is Transforming.” The Member Town Hall will include conversations with:

• Sue Parr, President & CEO, Augusta Metro Chamber - presenting the design concepts from consultant Cooper Carry for Broad, 9th, 13th, and 6th Streets, part of the TSPLOST funding projects and downtown revitalization.

• Margaret Woodard, Executive Director, Downtown Development Authority - presenting updates on the concepts for the Riverwalk, James Brown Street Scape and new hotel going in by Frog Hollow restaurant, and the newest retail announcements for downtown.

• Anne-Catherine Murray, Executive Director, Symphony Orchestra Augusta - presenting the newest developments on the timeline, progress, funding and plans for the Miller Theater Project.

The Chamber is encouraging members and the public to join the conversation and learn more about the growth and transformation happening in Downtown Augusta. Everyone’s thoughts, ideas and opinions are welcome as the “Downtown 2020” projects move forward.
