More about Melvin Speight

Melvin Speight is a retired Chief Warrant Officer who has served in various key positions during his tenure in the United States Army.  He served in Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan.  Melvin’s attentiveness and genuine care of others allowed him to serve his country, putting the needs of those he served above his own.  Melvin holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.  In his willingness to give back others, Melvin was afforded the opportunity to become a Criminal Justice Professor at Central Texas College. 

After serving all over the world, Melvin and his wife have settled in the CSRA.  He and his wife have lived in Evans for three years and are proud parents of four adult children. Melvin is an active member of his church and community.  During his time off, you may find Melvin at the gym, his favorite fishing hole, or creating a masterpiece on the grill.
