GDOL to Announce New Program to Increase Graduation Rates in Augusta

Officials from the Georgia Department of Labor, Richmond County Schools and Textron Specialized Vehicles will announce the launch of a unique school-to-career transition program in Augusta. The program is designed to improve high school graduation rates, while increasing graduates’ opportunities for moving into a higher education or the manufacturing industry. They will be joined by representatives from AT&T and Jobs for America’s Graduates.

The announcement will come at a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m. at the Richmond County School System’s RPM building located at 2920 Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta.
