People with big ideas in health technology who want to start their own business can learn the skills during the Health Tech Startup Expo on Jan. 27 at Augusta University.
“Whether you are tracking your physical activity with your wearable device, taking a newly-developed medication or going through a new ultrasound procedure, you are benefiting from health technology,” said Dr. Gianluca De Leo, chair of the Clinical and Digital Health Science department at the College of Allied Health Sciences.
The expo will focus on how to create health tech startups, what challenges those companies face and how to establish partnerships to successfully run startups. The event is a collaboration between Augusta University, the Technology Association of Georgia and theClubhou.se.
“Augusta University looks forward to increasing the number of collaborations on health technology with partners in the CSRA,” said Dr. Chris McKinney, associate vice president for Innovation Commercialization.
Registration is open for the expo, which will take place at the Health Sciences Building at Augusta University’s Health Sciences Campus.
