The Salvation Army Implements Inclement Weather Plan

With the threat of extreme cold weather conditions, The Salvation Army of Augusta is implementing a special inclement weather plan for the Center of Hope shelter, 1384 Greene Street. The following could change or extend pending weather conditions:

· The 130-bed facility will have 20 mats for overflow – 10 for men and 10 for women.

· The normal policy regarding limit of stays per month will be lifted.

· Clients will be allowed to remain in the lodge during the day until the temperature reaches 40 degrees.

The Salvation Army of Augusta is asking for monetary contributions and other donations to help shelter those in need during the cold weather months.
